Fourth year in a row, traditionally, German Center for Robotics \u2013 DKR is openning out doors to all girls and women interested in robotics and technology!<\/span><\/p>\n

For us Girls’ Day is a special event because on that day we celebrate all women in STEM. Although, women make up about half of working population, they still do not represent half of the STEM workforce.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year in cooperation with BH Futures Foundation and Foundation for innovations, technology and knowledge transfer we promote women and grils in the field of automation, robotics and science in general. We’re breakin down misconceptions and stereotypes about women in technology and that’s our way to contribute to local community.<\/span><\/p>\n

Join us and listen to the stories of successful women in technology! For our guests we prepared an interesting agenda during the day:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Bega Karad\u017ea <\/strong>completed Bachelor’s studies at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, University of Sarajevo. She studied for Master’s degree in Germany and she is currently enrolled in PhD at the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in Belgium. The topic of her research is characterization, opto-thermal modeling, design and application of quantum dots on LED chips.<\/span><\/p>\n

Senka Krivi\u0107 <\/span><\/strong>completed Bachelor’s and Master’s studies at the Department of Automation and Electronics of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Sarajevo. She completed her PhD at the University of Innsbruck in the field of robotic learning, and worked for three years at King\u2019s College London University as a researcher in the field of artificial intelligence. Her research covers the field of robotics, machine learning, planning based on artificial intelligence.<\/span><\/p>\n

Emina Okanovi\u0107 Malki\u0107 <\/span><\/strong>completed Bachelor’s degree at the Department of Automation and Electronics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Sarajevo. She is currently finishing her Master’s studies, and she also studied at Technological University Dublin and worked as a researcher at EPFL in Switzerland. Her research covers the field of e-skin development in the field of soft robotics, Emina worked in the Laboratory for Soft Bioelectronic Interfaces in Geneva.<\/span><\/p>\n
